Cannellini beans

cannellini beans
These are cannellini beans which I use to cook pasta fagioli. They have high fiber and calcium in them. They are very tasty. If you make the tasty Italian dish pasta fagioli, you will be getting an added benefit of high fiber and calcium.

Italian sausage

italian sausage
I love cooking Italian sausage. These are the thin sausage. You can buy them in the meat section at your supermarket. They also make fatter sausage which will take longer to cook. I like the thin sausage. I bake them at 325° in the oven on a baking pan for about 45 minutes. Heat your favorite red tomato sauce on the stove while the sausage are cooking. When the sausage are done in the oven, I put them in the sauce on the stove and let them stay for about 10 minutes on low heat. I have the sausage here on an onion roll. You can also eat them plain with just the sauce on them in a dish. They are very tasty.

Red salmon

red salmon
This makes a great sandwich. Red salmon with mayonnaise. I have it here on an onion roll. It also tastes good on toast. You can also add lettuce and tomatoes to it. Red salmon taste very good if you have never had it before. Be sure to drain as much water out of the can as you can. It does not taste good otherwise with all that water.

Pasta fagioli

pasta fagioli
This is an Italian favorite of mine. I pronounce it "pasta fazool". Pasta fagioli; "pasta and beans", is made with red tomato sauce, cannellini beans, and a small type of pasta like elbow macaroni or ditalini. I used ditalini in the picture. Cook the macaroni, sauce, and cannellini beans separate. When they are cooked you mix them all together. I add grated cheese and pepper. Add as much tomato sauce as you like. It tastes great and it is very easy to make.
