Meatball sandwich

meatball sandwich
I have meatballs every week with pasta. These are beef meatballs on rye bread. They now also have turkey meatballs. Turkey meatballs have less fat. You can add grated cheese on top of meatballs. I also have them plain in a bowl with pasta and sauce. Meatballs go well on toast, rye bread, white bread, Italian bread, and other kinds of breads.

Stuffed shells

stuffed shells
These are delicious. They are an Italian favorite of mine. I usually have them every Christmas. I have them cut here because they were hot. Stuffed shells are just pasta in the shape of shells, stuffed with ricotta cheese. They sell them in the frozen section. You bake them in the oven. Add your own favorite tomato sauce with them. These are very fulling. Normally I don't have more than 3-6 of them at a time.

Italian bread

italian bread
Italian bread is my favorite bread. It usually has sesame seeds on it, like I have shown in the picture, although I have had some without any seeds. It tastes good cut in half with butter on it. I also have it with meatballs for a meatball sandwich. Stop by your Italian bakery for the best Italian bread. You can also find it sold at the supermarket.

Italian sausage dinner

italian saussage dinner
his meal makes a great dinner. I have here Italian sausages, rice, mixed vegetables, and tomato sauce. Tomato sauce goes really well with white rice. I also add grated cheese on top of the rice and the Italian sausages.

Italian sausage

italian sausage
I love cooking Italian sausage. These are the thin sausage. You can buy them in the meat section at your supermarket. They also make fatter sausage which will take longer to cook. I like the thin sausage. I bake them at 325° in the oven on a baking pan for about 45 minutes. Heat your favorite red tomato sauce on the stove while the sausage are cooking. When the sausage are done in the oven, I put them in the sauce on the stove and let them stay for about 10 minutes on low heat. I have the sausage here on an onion roll. You can also eat them plain with just the sauce on them in a dish. They are very tasty.

Pasta fagioli

pasta fagioli
This is an Italian favorite of mine. I pronounce it "pasta fazool". Pasta fagioli; "pasta and beans", is made with red tomato sauce, cannellini beans, and a small type of pasta like elbow macaroni or ditalini. I used ditalini in the picture. Cook the macaroni, sauce, and cannellini beans separate. When they are cooked you mix them all together. I add grated cheese and pepper. Add as much tomato sauce as you like. It tastes great and it is very easy to make.

Cannoli

cannoli
Cannoli are my favorite Italian pastry. They are really delicious. Cannoli are made with fried pastry dough and ricotta cheese. Chocolate chips are also added sometimes. They make them really small to larger sizes. Stop by your nearest Italian bakery and try some. You will want them all the time.
